Glow in the Dark Monster Eyes

I just love Halloween for all the crafty possibilities it brings and what better way to celebrate and showcase Halloween than with a week of Craft Lightning projects!

I love participating in this quick and crafty collaboration with other bloggers and I am so appreciative of the Hosts: Angie from the Country Chic Cottage, Carolina from 30 Minute Crafts AND for this edition of Craft Lightning there's guest host Jen Goode, from 100 Directions!

Click on the link at the end of my post to check out all of the other great 15 minute Crafts from the bloggers participating this week!

Now on to my project - Glow in the Dark Monster Eyes!

Here's what you will need:
Paint Brushes - 1" flat wash and #4 round, pencil, 8" Circle Template and 4" Circle Template (I used a dessert plate and a drinking glass).

Here's how to make it:
1.) Base coat both half balls with Glow in the Dark Paint, let dry.
2.) Trace 8" circle in center of each half ball to create pupil.  Trace 4" circle in center of 8" circle to create iris.
3.) Paint 8" circle Lavender, let dry.  Outline with jagged lines in Lemonade, let dry.
4.) Paint 4" circle Lamp Black, let dry.  Outline with Desert Turquoise, let dry.
5.) Create bloodshot veins with dimensional fabric paint, let dry.

Insert your creepy Monster Eyes in a shrub, vine or bush in the front yard to let all of the neighbors know why "I always feel like somebody's watching me!"

The Monster Eyes will also make the trick-or-treaters do a double take when walking up to your front door!

They are quick and easy to make and are a great project to tackle with your kids.  Make several sets in different sizes and colors to create an entire gang of monsters for Halloween!

Now it is time to click on the link below and discover all of the Craft Lightning 15 Minute Halloween Crafts that all of my designer friends have created this week!
